David Van Fleet is Professor Emeritus with the Morrison School of Agribusiness. He joined Arizona State University in 1989. His research areas of interest are in the history of management thought; leadership and military leadership; management in agribusiness; workplace violence, particularly in agribusiness; managerial bullying and harassment; and terrorism. Prior to ASU, he held positions at Texas A&M University, University of Akron, and University of Tennessee as well as a visiting position at University of California at Los Angeles while his wife received a liver transplant.
Professor Van Fleet has served as a consultant for a range of clients, including the American Cancer Society; Kuwait Oil Company; State of Kuwait; Kuwait University; NCC Enterprises; Shell Oil; Community Council of Greater Dallas; and Texas cities of Corpus Christi, Denison, and Seguin, and others.
