Rowane Harris recently joined the W.P.Carey School of Business, Graduate Program Operations, as Graduate Coordinator, Financial Services, at the Arizona State University campus in Tempe, Arizona. She is well-known for more than 25 years of technical advising, training, and client relations expertise in the student loan financial service sector and higher education financial assistance and scholarship services. Since 2012, she served as ASU Scholarships Services program coordinator during the institution’s enrollment growth from 72,254 to nearly 120,000 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. As of 2007, Rowane also served as an ASU Financial Aid and Scholarship Services Loans financial aid counselor. Rowane is Lean Six Sigma; Yellow Belt certified writing technical procedures, designing workflow process improvement, and delivering creative and innovative solutions as a member of division-wide project committees.
Rowane’s current research, projects, and writings include the value of higher education concerning rising college costs, student food insecurity, financial access to higher education, financial literacy among college students, and adaptive learning and immersive technology in higher education. She recently served as mentor and advisor to the ASU-sponsored Gates Millennium Student Organization. She holds a Master of Education in Higher Education Leadership, a graduate certificate in Teaching and Learning at Northern Arizona University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Art, Art History at Arizona State University. In addition, Rowane explores her artistic and musical talents and outdoor activities with her family in her free time, including tandem mountain biking.
