Vicki Krell is the Assistant Director of Research Advancement for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Deans Office, and directs the CLAS Research Advancement Office (created in early 2009). Prior to that, she worked for the Office for Research and Sponsored Projects Administration for 20 years, as a Sponsored Projects Officer and Supervisor, and served as an authorized institutional official. Vicki has over 30 years of experience in research and grants administration.
Vicki is extremely active within her professional organization, the National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA), and has held various roles over her 20+ year membership. These include co-chair of the 2018 Pre-award Research Administration meeting to be held in March of 2018, a track leader for the Annual Meeting 59 program (held August 2017), Presidential appointee to the Nominating and Leadership Development Committee, regionally elected representative to the National Board for NCURA Region VII, co-editor of the NCURA magazine, and past chair of Region VII. Vicki has also co-presented numerous concurrent sessions and workshops.
A Chicago native, Vicki moved to Arizona in 1989, and hasn’t yet gotten tired of the normally blue and sunny skies. She can be found cheering for the Cubs and Diamondbacks, Bulls and Suns, Bears and Cardinals, Black Hawks and Coyotes, and, of course, the Sun Devils, when she's not adding to her impressive collection of accessories and cookbooks.
