Long Bio
Marc O'Brien is a senior lecturer, chief ground instructor and the program chair of aeronautical management technology in the Polytechnic School Aviation Program at Arizona State University.
O'Brien holds F.A.A. Airline Transport Pilot and Certified Flight Instructor-Gold Seal certificates. He was a line pilot for USAir Express, a regional air carrier flying in the northeast United States. Prior to his airline experience, Mr. O'Brien was employed by American Trans Air as a flight instructor and finished his tenure as the company's assistant chief instructor.
In addition to teaching aviation classes, O'Brien is the chief instructor for ASU's F.A.A.-approved ground courses, supervisor of the department's P.S.I. LaserGrade F.A.A. Testing Center, and faculty advisor for A.S.U.'s Alpha Eta Rho aviation fraternity chapter.
