Christiana Sletten is Assistant Vice President in Educational Outreach and Student Services. In this role, she is focused on the educational persistence and success of students through the application of principles centered on holistic wellbeing, skill development, connection and resiliency. She is focused on educational access for students and works to reduce barriers to their success. Christiana's background showcases her commitment to fostering an environment where students can thrive personally and academically.
During her tenure at Arizona State University, Christiana has had the honor of serving as the Associate Director of ASU Wellness Services. In this role, she oversaw strategic university initiatives focused on health and wellbeing, and worked to develop outreach programs for students. Prior to this time, she served as the Associate Director for ASU Health and Counseling Services where she managed operations, inclusive of the pharmacy, x-ray, laboratory services, medical records, and patient services. She also oversaw the quality improvement program and health accreditation. In each of these roles, she worked to develop comprehensive relationships with the academic colleges in order to promote inroads for the health and wellbeing of students in the classroom.
Christiana holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration, and a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work. Christiana is board certified with the Board of Behavioral Health Examiners as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has previously directed mental health programs within underserved and underrepresented communities with patients who had minimal access to treatment and healthcare. In her prior roles in community mental health, she was instrumental in the integration of physical and behavioral healthcare services to ensure wrap around care provision for patients and clients.
Christiana is a proven leader who is adept at program administration and development. She is a strategic thinker who utilizes data to make outcome informed decisions. Christiana uses skillsets in communication, human motivation, and strength identification to build strong partnerships and relationships. She maintains a strong commitment to the health and support of students, while meeting the needs of communities served.
