Christiana Sletten serves as Assistant Vice President within Educational Outreach and Student Services at Arizona State University. In this role, she advances institutional efforts that support student persistence and success through a holistic framework emphasizing wellbeing, skill development, connection, and resilience. Her work focuses on expanding educational access and removing barriers that can impede student progress, ensuring that students have the support systems necessary to thrive both academically and personally.
Throughout her career at Arizona State University, Christiana has held several leadership roles dedicated to student health, wellness, and operational excellence. She previously served as Associate Director of ASU Wellness Services, where she led strategic university initiatives aimed at promoting student health and wellbeing and developed innovative outreach programs to connect students with supportive resources. Prior to that, she served as Associate Director for ASU Health and Counseling Services, overseeing key operational areas including pharmacy, laboratory and x-ray services, medical records, and patient services. In this role, she also led quality improvement initiatives and accreditation efforts while strengthening partnerships with academic colleges to integrate student health and wellbeing into the broader academic experience.
Christiana holds a Master of Public Administration and a Master of Social Work and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker through the Board of Behavioral Health Examiners. Her professional background includes directing mental health programs serving underserved and underrepresented communities with limited access to healthcare. In these roles, she played a critical role in integrating physical and behavioral health services to create comprehensive, wraparound care models for patients and clients.
A strategic and collaborative leader, Christiana brings expertise in program development, organizational leadership, and data-informed decision-making. She is known for building strong partnerships, leveraging communication and motivation to inspire teams, and identifying strengths within individuals and organizations. Her work reflects a deep commitment to supporting student wellbeing and success while strengthening the communities served by the institution.
