Current Role and PTS Experience:
As Associate Director of Parking and Transit Services, I am part of a team of parking professionals who manage the parking and transportation for ASU. In my role I coordinate parkings involvement with campus construction, working with project managers and contractors. Develop Facility Use Agreements and manage special projects involving university and community partners. Work to secure off-campus leases and agreements for parking at the downtown campus and LA Campus. Involved in the management of the various parking garages and parking lots to ensure adequate parking is available for students, staff and faculity. Develpoment and management of the university's electric vehicle charging system and promote the university's sustinability goals. My career with ASU started in April 2006.
Previous Experience:
Prior to working at ASU, I worked for the City of Chicago for 18 years before working for a private parking operator in Chicago. An opportunity arose and I was transferred to Phoenix to manage the City's parking program at the Downtown Civic Plaza, the same year as the Arizona Diamondbacks' inaugural season.
Education:
My education consists of a bachelor's degree in forestry from Southern Illinois University and I continued my education and completed my graduate studies at DePaul University, where I obtained a master's degree in Management of Public Service.
Professional Memberships:
I am a founding member of the Southwest Parking and Transportation Association and served as the organization’s president in 2006. I currently hold a Certified ParkSmart Garage Administrator certificate, and I am a member of the International Parking and Mobility Institute. Our team was awarded the 2017 Parking Organization of the Year by the IPMI.
