Ken has worked at ASU for 40 years.Student Affairs experience with cross-functional expertise in admissions, financial aid, scholarships, mentoring, online data collection, and record keeping systems. Extensive and successful experience working with university students, faculty and staff. Known for coaching students in making good choices and transitions in career and college selection, finding sources of financial assistance for higher education and staying on task to complete educational goals.
Honors Academic Advisor/Barrett, The Honors College (2012 to present)
● Advising services rendered to the students on assigned caseload.
● Participate in Barrett specific activities & programs that helped advance the Barrett mission.
● Member of Justice Equality Diversity & Inclusion Barrett faculty, staff and student committee.

Assistant Director, Student Recruitment/Office of the Dean of Students (2009 - 2012)
- Co-develop creation of large-scale, university-wide, one-to-one faculty, staff and peer mentoring program for the President Barack Obama Scholars Program; a need based program based on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) data. Program served an average of over 1200 incoming freshmen per year.
- Co-design online Excel system to recruit mentors.
- Co-design on line PowerPoint orientation for mentors and scholars.
- Implement and maintain online tracking system to monitor mentor/scholar contact and verify scholar adherence to program expectations.
Assistant Director School Relations/Undergraduate Admissions (1988 - 2009)
- Administered Early Outreach and FOCUS programs.
- Managed campus visits for over 3500 annual visitors, from elementary and high schools, that had primarily high minority, low income and First Generation College bound students.
- Recruited and supervised approximately 50 ASU staff who volunteered and assisted with activities.
