Melissa Yubeta serves as the Senior Director and Chief of Staff for Arizona State University's School of Life Sciences. In this role, she oversees the school’s operations and ensures the effective delivery of key services, including budget and finance, human resources, research administration, marketing and communications, events, facilities, academic advising, undergraduate and graduate programs, and unit research centers.
Melissa joined ASU in 1997, bringing over 27 years of experience and deep expertise in procurement, strategic financial planning, internal controls, and university policies and procedures. Before her tenure with the School of Life Sciences, she held leadership roles in The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences for 13 years and the Department of Mathematics and Statistics for 10 years.
A proud Sun Devil, Melissa earned her bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Arizona State University.
