Sarai Alvarado is a Finance Manager in KE's Global Security Initiative (GSI), Arizona State University's hub for global security research. In her role in GSI, Sarai does a multitude of tasks surrounding Finance management and business operations for the Irregular Warfare Center Research Support Services contract.
With 15+ years of higher education experience, before joining ASU, Sarai worked for University of Phoenix as an Academic Advisor, then she joined University of Arizona (UA) and worked to bring UA programs like Cyber Operations and Informatics up to Maricopa and Pinal counties. She then worked for UA's College of Medicine - Phoenix in their Undergraduate Student Research Unit, working directly with medical students and faculty to complete their scholarly research projects, as well as fund additional publications and travel awards. Sarai obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from ASU, with a minor in European History, and then went on to obtain her CACREP Accredited Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from University of Phoenix.
