Sangram Redkar is a professor at the School of Manufacturing Systems and Networks at Arizona State University. He completed his doctorate from Auburn University in 2005. He worked at Archangel System, Auburn, from 2005 to 2007. He joined the MMET Department as an assistant professor in Fall 2007. Dr. Redkar led the development of a suction cup spider suit, wearable air conditioner, behind-the-wall scanner, and an in-ear wearable device for warfighter physiological monitoring.
His lab has developed cutting-edge AI/ML algorithms for biomedical applications such as ocular biomarker detection in chemical exposure cases using a hybrid-explainable AI approach. These state-of-the-art AI models are adept at analyzing and interpreting complex eye images to predict health outcomes based on ocular biomarkers. This capability is essential for enhancing the sensitivity and specificity of biomarker detection, which can lead to significant improvements in early diagnosis and preventive healthcare measures.
Redkar's research focuses on nonlinear dynamics and controls, machine design, inertial navigation, and GPS, as well as the design, dynamics, and control of micro-electro-mechanical systems.
