Dr. Jodi Menees has been in Higher Education since 1998 and has worked at ASU since 2007, serving in varied roles including Engineering Recruiter and Instructional Designer at The Fulton Schools of Engineering, Instructional Designer and Senior Director of Technology at The W. P. Carey School of Business and now is the Director of Information Technology Services at Barrett, the Honors College. Jodi is also an adjunct faculty member at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, where she was named Faculty Member of the Year in 2012, and The University of Phoenix.
At Barrett, Jodi is the Director in charge of the two custom PeopleSoft Applications built for the school. She serves as the Dean appointed representative in the Instructional Technology Advisement Group, the Data Trustee, and is in charge of Information Security Compliance for all Barrett owned systems and hardware. At W. P. Carey, Jodi was a lead Instructional Designer in the Top 3 MBA Online Program, was the lead Instructional Designer for the initial launch of the Master of Science in Information Technology Online Program, and was an Instructional Designer from the Business School involved in the launch of the Starbucks Achievement Program with ASU Online and Starbucks, Code Name Project Rover. Jodi served as the Instructional Designer for the Service Leadership Certificate that was delivered to 1600 Honeywell Aerospace Employees. Jodi was personally picked brought to ASU by the Dean of Engineering to work on increasing female applicants to the engineering programs and worked directly for the Dean.
Before coming to ASU, Jodi was the Faculty Chair for Aeronautical Sciences at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Center Director for the Embry-Riddle Extended Campus. She taught in the Graduate Programs and most of her course load was courses in Research Methods and Statistics. A highlight of teaching was a contract to teach Graduate Statistics to a group of German Air Force Pilots training at Luke Air Force Base. Over 50 students had Jodi serve as their Director for the Graduate Research Project required for the Master of Aeronautical Sciences degree. At the University of Phoenix, Jodi is a faculty member in the School of Doctoral Studies and works as a Dissertation Chair and has taught doctoral-level research courses. She has been on 21 Dissertation Committees, 12 as Chair, and worked with students doing Dissertations in Education, Information Technology and Aviation.
Jodi maintains memberships in the University Aviation Association (UAA) and the Association for Education Communication and Technology (AECT); she has presented research for both organizations at annual conferences. In her free time, Jodi is always on the hunt for the perfect midcentury modern accessory for her 1960's house or is working in her backyard metals workshop on unique metal and enamel jewelry and ornaments.
