Fannie serves as the Director & Head of Academic Engagement for Global Academic Initiatives. She collaborates with ASU stakeholders to foster and advance global engagement and partnerships.
Prior to this position, she led the ASU Confucius Institute and language initiatives. Fannie developed and advanced 14 Confucius Classroom partnerships with K-12 schools throughout Arizona. These partnerships were instrumental in promoting the study of Chinese language and culture. As Co-PI of the ASU Flagship Linkages program, she spearheaded the Arizona AP Chinese project in partnership with four prominent high schools in Phoenix to design and implement an exemplary AP Chinese program.
Prior to her time at ASU, Fannie was a management consultant specializing in intercultural communication and negotiations for Intel, AT&T, American Express and Honeywell. She was a faculty member of the MBA Program at the University of Phoenix and was awarded Outstanding Graduate Business Faculty in 1997.
Fannie holds a Master of Business Administration and a MA in Asian Studies from Brigham Young University.
