Lurissa Brown serves as the Associate Director on the Career Management Team at the W. P. Carey School of Business. In this role, she is committed to enhancing the career management experience for international students by providing them with the tools and resources needed to thrive in competitive job markets. Lurissa leads career coaches within the analytics and administration portfolios, offering strategic guidance to effectively support portfolios with a high concentration of international students. She also advises internal and external stakeholders, including employers, on immigration-related matters and spearheads initiatives aimed at fostering the success of international students. Before joining W. P. Carey, Lurissa was a Designated School Official (DSO) at ASU’s International Students and Scholars Center. During her five-year tenure, she guided international students in maintaining compliance with immigration regulations, gaining invaluable expertise. Today, she leverages this experience to help students optimize their global business skills and confidently navigate their career journeys. Originally from Panama City, Panama, Lurissa brings a global perspective to her work and continuously seeks opportunities to positively impact all students. Lurissa holds a Master’s in Public Administration and a B.S. in Spanish with a Certificate in Translation, both from Arizona State University.
