Alison Almand is the Program Manager for Undergraduate Research Initiatives within The College. She formerly served as the Program Manager for the Project Cities program, where she facilitated university-community partnerships across the university. Through her work with Project Cities, Alison helped facilitate more than 50 sustainability projects with ASU students and faculty across the university. In her current role, Alison supports undergraduate research opportunities and initiatives that connect students with meaningful academic and experiential learning.
Alison holds a Master of Science in Community Resources and Development with a concentration in Sustainable Communities. Her master’s research focused on developing regional food hubs to connect local food producers and strengthen community capacity. Prior to completing her degree, Alison served as the 2018–2019 Food Fellow with the Maricopa County Food System Coalition, where she contributed to Maricopa County’s first Community Food Assessment.
