Alison Almand is the Program Coordinator for the Sustainable Cities Network and Project Cities program within the Global Institute of Sustainability and Innovation in the Global Futures Laboratory. Since starting with Project Cities as a student Program Assistant, Alison has helped to facilitate over 30 sustainability projects with ASU students and faculty across the university. In her role as a Program Coordinator, Alison supports the Sustainable Cities Network and Project Cities program through event coordination, written communication, and evaluation.
Alison holds a Master of Science in Community Resources and Development with a concentration in Sustainable Communities. Her research during her master’s focused on developing regional food hubs to connect local food producers to build community capacity. Prior to completing her master’s, Alison was the 2018-2019 Food Fellow with the Maricopa County Food System Coalition, where she assisted with Maricopa County’s first Community Food Assessment.
