Alison Almand is the Program Manager of the Project Cities program within the Sustainable Cities Network and the Global Institute of Sustainability and Innovation in the Global Futures Laboratory. Since beginning with Project Cities as a student Program Assistant, Alison has helped facilitate more than 50 sustainability projects with ASU students and faculty across the university. In her role as Program Manager, Alison manages partnerships with communities across Arizona, fostering collaborative, action-oriented solutions through project-based learning.
Alison holds a Master of Science in Community Resources and Development with a concentration in Sustainable Communities. Her master’s research focused on developing regional food hubs to connect local food producers and strengthen community capacity. Prior to completing her degree, Alison served as the 2018–2019 Food Fellow with the Maricopa County Food System Coalition, where she contributed to Maricopa County’s first Community Food Assessment.
