Melissa is a project and operations professional with more than ten years of experience leading teams, managing complex programs, and driving process improvements across higher education and creative industries.
A graduate of Arizona State University’s School of Film, Dance and Theatre, Melissa earned her BA in 2013. After working professionally in a variety of fields, she returned to ASU in 2017 as Production Manager for the Sidney Poitier New American Film School. In that role, she managed the day-to-day operations of a large-scale equipment facility, led a team of 10, oversaw budgets, and implemented systems and workflows designed to improve operational efficiency and user experience.
Since then, Melissa has held roles across ASU, including with the ASU Alumni Association, where she served as a Project Manager leading initiatives focused on engagement, program delivery, and cross-functional collaboration. She currently serves as Executive Assistant to Dr. Dorsey at the RMWSSS.
Throughout her career, Melissa has specialized in project management, process improvement, systems implementation, and data-informed decision-making. She brings a highly organized, solutions-oriented approach to complex and evolving work, with a focus on building strong partnerships, creating effective systems, and turning strategy into successful execution.
