Hello, and thank you for visiting my bio!
I’m Ryan Barlow, a graduate student and faculty assistant at Arizona State University. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSE) in Mechanical Systems from ASU's Polytechnic campus in 2015. Shortly after graduation, I was recruited by Raytheon Missile Systems (now RTX) to join their Advanced Engineering Prototyping Department, affectionately known as the "Bike Shop." Over the course of five years in Tucson, I had the privilege of working on cutting-edge projects before deciding to return to Tempe to be closer to my family.
Currently, I live in Scottsdale, working as a free-lance design engineer, where I continue to leverage my technical expertise in the field. I’m passionate about combining innovation with real-world application, and I thrive in environments where collaboration and creative problem-solving are key.
Beyond my professional life, I’m committed to staying active and embracing a variety of outdoor and fitness activities. I’m an avid weightlifter, hiker, and skier, and I also enjoy basketball, pickleball, and shooting pool. I believe in the power of balancing a challenging career with a healthy, active lifestyle.
If you spot me on campus, don’t hesitate to say hello! I love to meet new people and build connections. For those feeling a bit adventurous, I’m always up for a friendly challenge—whether it’s a game of chess or a spirited round of pickleball.
Let’s connect!
