As the Chief Development Officer for the ASU Foundation, Eric is responsible for leading and executing comprehensive fundraising strategies that support the university’s mission of access, excellence, and community impact. Eric collaborates closely with university leadership, academic units, and the Foundation Executive Cabinet to align philanthropic efforts with institutional priorities. In addition, Eric leads a large development staff, ensuring a high-performance culture focused on donor engagement, stewardship, and long-term relationship building.
Eric began his career with the Celebrity Fight Night Foundation raising support for the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center at the Barrow Neurological Institute. He joined the ASU Foundation in 2009 and has served in numerous leadership capacities during his tenure.
Eric has served as a founding board members and board chair for multiple nonprofit organizations in the Phoenix community that provide support to children in the Arizona foster care system. He is a graduate of Valley Leadership’s Class 29 Leadership Institute and was recognized as a member of the Phoenix Business Journal's 40 Under 40 class of 2019. Additionally, Eric holds a master’s degree from ASU in Nonprofit Leadership and Management and is a Certified Fundraising Executive.
