Jim is a seasoned professional with over thirty years of successful business development and sales expertise in both domestic and international arenas. His role is within ASU’s Economic Development unit is to lead the business development efforts for SkySong and other related units. His form role was with ASU’s Entrepreneurship & Innovation Group – where he lead the development and execution of Alexandria Library Co-Working Network, Edson/Great Little Companies student entrepreneur program , global business strategies, soft landing and go-to-market activities, @ SkySong , the ASU Scottsdale Innovation Center. He offers a unique, solid background with excellent operational acumen for global environments. Previous experience includes: Microsoft Alliance for NetApp, Sunnyvale, CA; Wipro Technologies, Bangalore, India; Microsoft Corporation Redmond, WA; Sun Microsystems, Mountain View, CA; Nihon Sun Microsystems KK, Tokyo, Japan; Convergent Technologies, San Jose, CA; and Be Inc. Menlo Park, CA. He is especially skilled in establishing successful mutually beneficial executive business relationships with companies from Malaysia, Singapore, ASEAN , India, Japan , Korea, Mexico, Brazil, Russia, Australia, Taiwan, and the US.
Jim holds a Master of Business Administration from University of Missouri – St. Louis.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Missouri - Rolla, where he graduated Cum Laude.
