Joel Dupuis is the Executive Director of Operations at the University Design Institute at Arizona State University. He leads the design and implementation of scalable systems, structures, and financial models that support the institute’s global work to transform higher education. Joel oversees the institute’s legal, financial, talent, and operational infrastructure, enabling sustainable growth and impact. In addition to his work in operations, Joel supports client-driven initiatives globally as the need arises. Drawing on nearly two decades of experience across higher education and corporate learning in North America, Europe, and Asia, Joel’s efforts have helped position UDI as a global hub for higher education transformation—providing design guidance, thought leadership, and implementation strategy for institutions committed to equity, relevance, and resilience. He holds a Master of Education from Arizona State University, an MBA with a focus on Public Administration from the University of Phoenix, and a Bachelor of Journalism and Sociology (Honors) from the University of King’s College. When he’s not designing systems for global scale, Joel is mentoring teams, building strategic partnerships, and cultivating a culture of learning and vulnerability—ensuring that transformation isn’t just a concept, but a shared practice.
