Naomi Ellis

Naomi Ellis is  a dedicated fashion educator with a dynamic blend of classroom excellence and industry experience. Since 2011, Naomi has been teaching fashion courses, and since 2017, she’s brought her expertise to ASU FIDM.

Her path into fashion began with a B.S. in Psychology and an M.A. in Organizational Management. After graduate studies in fashion at Philadelphia University, she worked on the Production Teams at Tommy Hilfiger and Polo Ralph Lauren, specializing in materials management. These roles gave her firsthand insight into the fashion supply chain, from textile development to finished garment production.

At ASU FIDM, Naomi continues to expand a curriculum exploring artificial intelligence in fashion, including FSH294 Applied Artificial Intelligence in Fashion and FSH394 Artificial Intelligence Solutions for Fashion. Her teaching equips students to use and customize generative AI tools, develop creative solutions, and critically examine AI’s possibilities within the fashion industry. Her research explores how people perceive and adopt AI, while her development work focuses on creating AI-powered tools and experiences that support learning.
