Connie Phillips-Eary graduated from Arizona State University in 1985 with her MSW, with a PAC concentration. She has worked in social services administration throughout her career, primarily in Maricopa County. Her work has been with the private nonprofit sector, working in behavioral health, child welfare, domestic violence and basic needs services.
She has served on the boards of the AZ chapter of the National Association of Social Workers and has maintained her membership throughout her career.
She had been the executive director at Sojourner Center, a domestic violence shelter and program from 1994 to 2014. She was the vice president at the Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits prior to taking her current role as president and CEO of Lutheran Social Services in 2015.
She teaches in the PAC program at ASU's School of Social Work.
