Mike Greenwell received his doctorate in behavioral health (DBH) at Arizona State University in 2017. During his time in the DBH program he focused on chronic health conditions with underserved populations. Greenwell has been working with a wide range of clients with diverse needs for more than 15 years. Greenwell received his bachelor's degree in social work (BSW) from the University of Utah where he focused on international health projects in Botswana. He completed his master's degree in social work (MSW) from the University of Missouri, where he focused on health disparities in rural settings. Greenwell has worked in direct practice and public health education both in the U.S. and abroad. He was a prior Peace Corps Volunteer who served in Macedonia from 2007 until 2009 working on community development. Currently, he is working in private practice in Phoenix serving both youth and adults. Greenwell’s clinical focus includes: direct practice with both youth and adults who have experienced adversity and trauma, brief solution focused strategies, using systems approaches to working with children and families, as well as interventions for chronic health concerns and substance use disorders. Therapeutic modalities include: EMDR, ACT, DBT, TF-CBT, CBT, Hypnotherapy, Play Therapy, SandTray Therapy, and Solution Focused Interviewing. Other interests of his include: assessments and human development across the life span.
