Victor Mora is currently a faculty associate with the ASU's School of Criminology and Criminal Justice as well as an associate research analyst with the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) in the Criminal Justice Research Division. In his role as an associate research analyst, he manages several program evaluations with local criminal justice agencies (i.e., Probation, District Attorney's Office, local police departments).
He received his doctorate from the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Arizona State University in Fall 2023. His research interests include evidence-based policing, group processes, and the situational etiology of violence. His dissertation compared the attitudes, behaviors, and influence of peer-nominated top de-escalators to their peers in the Tempe police department.
