Jessica Hauer is a seasoned educational leader with over 20 years of experience spanning K-12, community college, and university settings. Currently serving as Director of Educational Technology in a K-8 School District, Jessica is dedicated to integrating cutting-edge STEM education and sustainable practices into curricula. Her expertise includes developing impactful project-based learning programs, coordinating strategic educational initiatives, and leading professional development for teachers in emerging technologies.
Jessica holds a Master’s degree in Program Evaluation and Data Analytics from Arizona State University (graduating December 2023) and has participated in numerous prestigious research experiences, including ASU’s QESST and NEWT RET programs. She is passionate about bridging the gap between research and classroom instruction, using her extensive background to inspire innovation and environmental awareness among educators and students. Recognized for her achievements, Jessica has earned multiple awards, including the City of Phoenix “Recycling Champion” and the SRP Champion of Energy Efficiency.
Jessica is actively engaged in the broader scientific community, having held leadership roles with organizations like the U.S. Green Building Council’s Arizona Chapter and the National Nanotechnology Collaborative Infrastructure. Her mission is to empower the next generation of learners through sustainable, technology-rich, and inquiry-based educational experiences.
Jessica Hauer has a diverse and robust academic background in science and education. She earned a Master’s degree in Program Evaluation and Data Analytics at Arizona State University, maintaining a 4.0 GPA.. She has completed advanced coursework in sustainability science and has engaged in specialized training programs, including the University of Minnesota’s Micro and Nano Health and Safety Course and multiple Research Experience for Teachers (RET) programs at ASU focused on sustainable technologies and water treatment.
Her undergraduate studies were in Environmental Science at Bowling Green State University. Additionally, she has completed teacher preparation and continuing education programs at Rio Salado College and Phoenix College, earning endorsements in Reading and Special Education. Her commitment to continuous professional growth is further demonstrated through participation in numerous workshops and certifications related to STEM, sustainability, and educational technologies.
