Nicole Koester

Nicole Koester is an award-winning media and communications professional with more than 20 years of experience spanning journalism, higher education, nonprofit leadership, and strategic communications. She is recognized for developing impactful educational programs, leading large-scale outreach initiatives, producing compelling multimedia content, and crafting stories that inform, engage, and inspire.

Throughout her career, Koester has worked as a television reporter, producer, satellite coordinator, and production assistant in major media markets, including New York City, Phoenix, and Salt Lake City. Her diverse background in broadcast journalism has provided a strong foundation in storytelling, content production, and audience engagement.

Koester currently serves as a Faculty Associate at Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, where she teaches broadcast journalism and helps prepare the next generation of media professionals.

She earned her degree from the Hussman School of Journalism and Media at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and was selected as a fellow with the International Radio and Television Society.

Combining expertise in media, education, and community engagement, Koester continues to make a meaningful impact through teaching, leadership, and strategic communications.
