Ghada Elaqad

Ghada Elaqad is a Lab Coordinator in the College of Integrative Sciences and Arts at Arizona State University's Polytechnic campus. Has been coordinating physics labs since 2014. Organizes lab course schedules, manages inventory and supervises purchasing of materials and supplies associated with physics labs, and trains and mentors’ physics laboratory instructors.

Has been teaching at ASU since 2010, has taught a wide range of courses including Introductory Physics, Algebra base physics and Calculus base physics.

Prior that joined the Maricopa college district as an adjunct faculty back in 1999. I have served for 11 plus years.  Taught different classes in Physics. Helped students understand energy, matter, force, material, electricity, magnetism, waves and all the laws related to them.

I work in college with learners from all kinds of backgrounds. Involved in service to the community by participating on Campus outreach activities such as open door and Astronomy night, to help expose participants to demonstrate physics concepts and its applications.

In 1990, has completed MSc. in Applied Physics from Kuwait University. Her research work focused on radiation detection Scintillation system for Radon-222.

Her interests lie in the fields of Digital Electronics, Computational Science and Physics education. She has expertise in best practices in teaching physics for specific contexts and incorporating technologies and practical skills that will help students succeed in their courses and in the workforce.

Loved and understood people of all ages, cultures and backgrounds. Enjoys teaching, traveling, the outdoors, gardening, eating foreign foods, and shopping.
