Born and raised in the Phoenix area, this mixed-race mom, partner, and educator draws on her personal cultural experiences and histories to inform her approach to place-based education. She is deeply committed to fostering liberatory futures by co-creating participatory action research and sharing place-based knowledge. Through her educational work, she facilitates the exploration and translation of diverse ways of knowing about the Sonoran Desert, its rich history, and the collective futures we are shaping together.
