Anna Tanguma-Gallegos, a Ph.D. candidate, currently serves as the Associate Director of Research and Co-Principal Investigator for the NSF Eddie Bernice Johnson INCLUDES ALRISE Alliance at The Center for Broadening Participation in STEM, located at Arizona State University. With over 15 years of experience in higher education and medical research, Anna brings a wealth of expertise to her current role. She specializes in institutional transformation and facilitation within Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs), collaborating closely with faculty and administrators to lead initiatives tailored to supporting Latinx student success. Anna's commitment to equitable pathways in higher education is demonstrated through her involvement with 22 institutions implementing the Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) framework. In her medical research, she focuses on using machine learning to enhance chronic kidney disease diagnosis and on improving outcomes for providers through Uniform Data Systems (UDS) at Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs). With her diverse skill set and unwavering dedication to driving transformative change within the Latinx community, Anna remains a key figure in advancing STEM education and medical research.
