Long Bio

Alice A. Christie, Arizona State University President's Professor Emeritus, received her doctorate in educational technology and language and literacy from Arizona State University in 1995. She served as assistant and associate professor of technology and education in the College of Teacher Education and Leadership (now Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College) at ASU. Prior to this, she taught for 25 years in K-12 schools. She speaks and conducts workshops nationally and internationally on how technology can enhance teaching and learning. She has conducted research on gender differences in the uses of technology, scaffolding teachers as they integrate technology in their classrooms, and the use of electronic portfolios for assessment. Her website is a comprehensive resource for educators wishing to use technology in their classrooms. It also provides resources for educators on web design, links to her research publications, and a gallery of her photography.
