Jay helps to develop and implement external communications and strategy for CSPO. He manages CSPO’s social media channels, website, and email communications, helps to draft and/or edit grant applications and project reports, and works to implement various programs.
He is the publication manager and books editor for Issues in Science and Technology, a quarterly journal published in partnership with the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. He maintains article submissions, solicits and edits book reviews, and prepares all pieces for publication. He manages Issues’s social media presence and implements quarterly promotional events.
As the managing editor of CSPO’s Rightful Place of Science book series, Jay develops, publishes, and promotes new titles. In addition to editing and ushering manuscripts through the publication process, he coordinates among the many parties involved in the series, including volume authors, the printer, and Arizona State University’s intellectual property office.
Jay serves as an ASU liaison to the Future Tense partnership with Slate magazine and New America. He helps to organize events, participates in weekly planning meetings, and strengthens the partnership’s ties to the ASU community in Arizona.
