Rachel Ometer, PhD, is the Program Coordinator for the Bud Selig Sports Law & Business Program at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. In her role, she supports admissions, student engagement, alumni relations, events, and program operations for the nationally recognized graduate program.
Dr. Ometer earned her PhD in General Psychology with an emphasis in Performance Psychology from Grand Canyon University in 2025. Her research focused on the transition experiences of former NCAA Division I athletes following unanticipated career-ending injuries. Dr. Ometer is an alumna of the Sports Law & Business program, having earned her Master of Sports Law & Business from ASU in 2018. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Arizona State University in 2016.
Prior to joining ASU Law, Dr. Ometer worked in learning and development, program management, and operations roles within the sports and technology industries, including positions with the Phoenix Suns, the Arizona Diamondbacks, Sun Devil Athletics, Axon, and Tesla. She is also the founder of R&R Peak Performance, where she provides performance psychology consulting focused on confidence, mindset, emotional regulation, and athlete transitions.
A former NCAA Division I soccer student-athlete at Arizona State University, Dr. Ometer is passionate about helping students and high performers develop personally and professionally while building meaningful careers in the sports industry.
