Chelsea is the Business Operations Manager Sr for the School of Arts, Media and Engineering within the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts. She oversees the fiscal, HR and other business operations in support of the school to advance the mission of empowering the next generation of learners to be socially aware, critically thinking global citizens who strive to bring about positive change in a society that will be increasingly shaped by revolutions in new technologies.
Prior to her current role, Chelsea was part of a core group of ASU and Arizona Department of Health Services leaders that led the public testing and vaccination sites to support Arizona's response to the 2020 COVID pandemic. In this role, she scaled the business operations to support more than 80 public testing sites and four mass vaccination sites in Arizona that included more than 2,500 personnel. This included opening the first 24-hour vaccination site at State Farm Stadium which administered 12,000 vaccine doses a day, deemed "Best in the United States" by the CDC and virtually visited by the President of the United States, Joe Biden, and United States Vice President, Kamala Harris. This effort resulted in more than 1 million COVID tests and 1.4 million vaccinations administered to Arizonans.
Chelsea also has extensive experience in the public sector ranging from administrative oversight of local municipal departments to legal support for county and city governments. She is a first-generation college graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from ASU's W.P. Carey School of Business and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Public Administration from ASU's Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions.
