Ruben Olmedo is assistant director of development for the Cronkite School and supports the philanthropic efforts to advance scholarships, programs, and special initiatives. Ruben started his career in development as donor relations coordinator at the ASU Foundation, where he helped design donor recognition and engagement opportunities and assisted in the increased retention of philanthropic partners across the ASU enterprise. After his time in donor relations and prior to returning to ASU, Ruben served in community engagement and fundraising capacities at Overlake Medical Center in Bellevue, Washington. Originally from southern California, Ruben holds a bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Leadership and Management from the Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions.
