As Business Operations Manager, Sr. for the School of Arts, Media and Engineering, Cheryl is responsible for management and monitoring of organizational success including tracking, assessing and reporting on issues and trends and coordinating activities of the unit's decision-making bodies to ensure faculty and student success. She is additionally responsible for the oversight of the school's financial and operations functions to include faculty and staff recruitment, hiring, and payroll administration, state/local account administration, contracts and gifts administration, and management of academic personnel actions.
Prior to joining ASU in 1995, she held an administrative appointment at the University of South Carolina-Columbia and also worked in the banking industry for several years. Cheryl earned both her bachelor's degree in Organizational Communication (cum laude) and master's degree in Public Management (with distinction) from Northern Arizona University. She also earned the designation of Certified Public Manager from Arizona State University, an institutional member of the national CPM consortium.
