Barbara Dickerson’s dedication to education and social equity is woven into her history of serving the community. This includes her current role with the Canyon City Foundation, which promotes social welfare, education and the arts.
In the past, Dickerson served as a mental health liaison for U.S. Representative Grace Napolitano and executive director for non-profit Neighborhood Homework House, which serves low-income families with students in grades pre K-12 attending the Azusa Unified School District.
As an adjunct faculty member of Azusa Pacific University, she has taught graduate courses to students in Africa and South America and served additional roles on the Citrus College Community College board and Azusa Unified School District’s K-12 board. She currently serves on the Credit Union board for America’s Christian Credit Union.
