Ebrahim Al Seragi received a B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering and Communication from Sana'a University, Yemen, in 2004. He began his career as an RF Planning and Optimization Engineer at Yemen Mobile, focusing on antenna design and electromagnetic radiation in urban and rural areas to improve cellular base station's coverage, capacity, and network optimization. In 2013, he obtained an M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University (ASU) in Tempe. The same year, he joined NXP Semiconductors Inc. (formerly Freescale) as an RF/Microwave Design Engineer with the RF Group. His work primarily involved the design of Cellular Infrastructure Power Amplifiers (PAs), including ICs, modules, and low/high-power (1W - 300W) sub-6 GHz Doherty PAs of LDMOS and GaN technologies. In 2019, Ebrahim became an RF Application Engineer with Qorvo, where he worked on sub-6 GHz GaN PA lineup design, broadband final stage PA design (0 to 3 GHz), and high-power GaN (up to 2 kW) PA design. In 2024, Ebrahim received his Ph.D. from ASU. During his Ph.D., he worked on a range of projects, including fully integrated wideband mmWave 28 GHz transceiver for distributed communication systems, 70 GHz receiver for radiation hardening, sub-mmWave (200-500 GHz) RFIC spectrometer and imager designs. His thesis focused on fully integrated THz receivers in silicon for imaging and spectroscopy, with research emphasizing sensitivity and power generation enhancement for THz spectroscopic imaging in microelectronics. Currently, he is working with NXP as an RF mmWave Circuit Engineer. His responsibilities include CAD flow and design tools enablement, as well as bridging the gap between simulated and measured performance of RF/Microwave systems, including electromagnetic, thermal, and electrothermal modeling.
