Sarah Hernandez Byrne is an Assistant Director at Arizona State University’s Professional Education Services. She leads a team of Placement Coordinators who secure traditional placements for roughly 1,500 students. Her passion for education began when she started her first teaching position as a High School Writing teacher in Cleveland, OH with Teach For America. Sarah taught for about six years throughout her teaching career and taught English, most of her time was spent teaching junior high English. She earned her Bachelor's degree in English Literature from Biola University and her Master's degree in Secondary Education English from ASU. She lives in Mesa, AZ with her husband, who is also an educator, and their two cats.
