Elizabeth Tirkas

Elizabeth Tirkas has 14 years of experience in higher education, with the last eight years focused on career coaching and management. As a previous Associate Director on the career management team at Arizona State University’s W. P. Carey School of Business, she led student-facing teams that served both undergraduate and specialized master’s students. Since joining Career Management in 2016, Elizabeth has specifically partnered with students in Accountancy, Computer Information Systems, and Business Data Analytics, witnessing firsthand the transformative impact of career management on student development and employment success. Elizabeth has worked closely with employers to understand market needs and trends, which she then shares with students to help them refine their career strategies. She is deeply committed to integrating career skills and values-driven career development into academic curricula. With over a decade of experience in higher education, Elizabeth’s background includes academic advising, service-learning curriculum development, international programs, study abroad, and Fraternity and Sorority Life. She sees these diverse experiences as integral to helping students connect with their career paths. Elizabeth holds a BA in Journalism from the University of Wyoming and an MA in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University.
