Holding a master's in International Cooperation, Finance, and Development after her initial studies in painting and education at the Art Academy in Sarajevo, BiH, she brings a unique blend of expertise to her endeavors.
Recognized as a Hubert H. Humphrey Fellow at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, Alma's dedication to continuous learning and cross-cultural exchange is prominent. The Fulbright Exchange program, generously supported by the U.S. State Department, significantly enhanced her expertise in journalism and global affairs.
Alma's career boasts significant roles, including Events Manager for the European Union Info Center in Sarajevo, BiH, and Program Coordinator for Cronkite Global Initiatives at ASU. In these positions, she honed her skills in organizing impactful events and coordinating international programs.
In her previous role as the Coordinator for Narrative Storytelling Initiatives at the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Futures Laboratory, ASU, Alma showcased her innovative spirit. Leveraging her diverse background and expertise, she spearheaded projects utilizing storytelling for positive change.
Currently, as the Director of Business Development and Events Management at the Center for Applied Research and Innovation in Supply Chain – Africa (CARISCA) at Arizona State University, Alma leads CARISCA’s strategic growth through targeted business development and impactful event coordination. CARISCA, funded by the United States Agency for International Development, is a strategic partnership between the business school at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana and ASU’s WP Carey School of Business.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Alma enjoys travel, wildlife photography, and creative expression through painting.
