Katie, an Arizona native, began teaching undergraduates in visual communication and design as a Faculty Associate for the Design School in the fall of 2018. She is now an instructor and has experience working in various creative environments, from freelance to advertising agencies.
Katie has worked on both local and international clients, creating brand identities, media campaigns, digital design, and her personal favorite, editorial design. Eventually, she focused working on large tech companies like Intel®, where she helped develop product branding, event design, and virtual games.
With a passion for creating things by hand, Katie is a self-taught woodworker who mostly works with the scroll saw and laser cutter. She recently started her own business creating handmade goods. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, and enjoying the great outdoors with her husband and daughter.
