Dani Sebbens is a clinical professor with a strong academic and clinical background. She is the Assistant Dean for Practice and Clinical Education at Arizona State University (ASU). In recent years, she has made significant contributions to academia and practice by establishing the acute care pediatric nurse practitioner (ACPNP) program at ASU, the only ACPNP program in the state. She maintains a clinical practice in the pediatric ICU at Phoenix Children’s.
She has also committed to advancing knowledge and best practices through impactful presentations and insightful publications. A skilled presenter, she has shared her expertise at numerous local, regional, and national conferences. Over the past five years, she has delivered presentations at the NAPNAP conference on various acute and critical care topics. In addition to her presentations, she has made significant contributions to the academic and professional community through multiple publications. During this period, she has published articles in journals such as the Journal of Pediatric Health Care and the Journal for Nurse Practitioners, covering topics from critical care to nurse practitioner curricula. These publications provide thought leadership and insights that inform academic peers and pediatric practitioners.
She has been recognized throughout her career for her dedication and leadership. In June 2024, she was inducted as a fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (FAANP), and in February 2025, as a fellow of the American College of Critical Care Medicine (FCCM). Dani brings a unique blend of academic knowledge, practical expertise, and a collaborative spirit to her work. Through ongoing research, publications, and active participation in professional communities, she contributes significantly to advancing pediatric nurse practitioners, inspiring future professionals, and setting new standards for excellence.
