Jasmine Amoako-Agyei is a public speaker, climate educator, award-winning social entrepreneur, and alumnus of Arizona State University - Barrett, The Honors College, with a background in Business, Sustainability, International Development, and Emerging Technologies. She is deeply committed to addressing the intersection of human rights, environmental sustainability, and global development, with a particular focus on marginalized communities disproportionately impacted by climate change.
Jasmine is currently the Assistant Director of The Luminosity Lab at Arizona State University, where she oversees a team of 80+ students, guiding them in interdisciplinary research projects spanning healthcare, sustainability, space exploration, education, and infrastructure. She is also leading the global expansion of The Luminosity Lab consortium, working to build a worldwide network of student talent dedicated to developing transformative solutions that drive meaningful societal impact.
In addition to her professional work, Jasmine is currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Interest Technology at Arizona State University in the College of Global Futures, further deepening her expertise in leveraging technology for social good.
As a 2020 Millennium Fellow, Jasmine founded Countdown: Circular Economy Solutions (Countdown CES), an early-stage global technology startup taking a community-centered approach to tackling plastic pollution in Ghana, West Africa, and the United States. She leads the creative direction and project management of student teams at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ashesi University, and Engineering Projects In Community Service (EPICS) at ASU to advance this mission.
Previously, Jasmine served as the Strategic Initiatives Coordinator at The Luminosity Lab, where she contributed to the development of innovative solutions to global challenges. She also joined the Millennium Campus Network (MCN) as the first Community Manager for Emerging Technologists, facilitating the launch of a new vertical in partnership with Schmidt Futures.
Jasmine has also worked as a Sustainability Educator at the Herberger Young Scholars Academy, a specialized school for highly gifted learners. She designed and implemented an interdisciplinary curriculum that introduces middle and high school students to social impact, sustainability, design, entrepreneurship, and systems thinking.
With a track record of leadership, innovation, and global impact, Jasmine continues to champion interdisciplinary collaboration and student-driven solutions that address some of the world’s most pressing challenges.
