Beatriz is an experienced global educator, instructional designer, and curriculum developer, for on-ground and online programs for international audiences. She was the Academic Lead/Program Manager for the ASU-USA Pathways program at Global Launch where she designed academic course maps, developed curriculum, led an instructional team, and worked closely with Student Services and diverse stakeholders to provide support for international students. While at Global Launch, she collaborated on several Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) via Coursera which now have over 80,000 learners. One her projects at ASU’s University Design Institute (UDI) included managing the instructional design efforts for a faculty development program with over 2,000 faculty members in Argentina via Moodle.
She has been a global educator for over 15 years and has taught English language learners from over 50 countries as well as trained English as a Second/Foreign Language (ESL/EFL) teachers. At UDI, she managed numerous programs for international higher education leaders from various countries such as: Brazil, South Korea, Netherlands, Sweden, Mexico, England, France, and Myanmar. She collaborated in the development of UDI’s marketing efforts including the creation of UDI’s brand, the design of UDI’s website, and the launch of UDI’s LinkedIn strategy while helping deploy UDI’s monthly Global University Design (GUD) Monitor and UDI’s Quarterly newsletter via MailChimp.
She is from Santiago, Chile and has lived in Spain and the Czech Republic. She has traveled to over 25 countries and is always looking forward to her next adventure with her husband and their 2 daughters.
