Jessica Fernandez is ASU Decision Theater’s Manager of Strategic Partnerships, where she works with partners to define complex needs and shape collaborative projects that connect research, technology, and real-world decision-making. Her work often begins with helping academic, government, nonprofit, or industry partners clarify the problem they are trying to solve, identify the expertise and tools needed, and build the partnerships required to move from idea to proposal, project, or implemented solution.
Fernandez’s work is closely anchored in the Global Futures Laboratory, where she helps activate faculty expertise and translate emerging research into competitive proposals. She also leads the development of Decision Theater’s growing Los Angeles portfolio, with a focus on disaster risk reduction and resilience. Her broader portfolio spans energy and climate technology, workforce development, sustainability, and digital innovation.
She holds a Master of Science in Science and Technology Policy and a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Arizona State University.
