Long Bio
Constantine A. Balanis is a member of the Emeritus College and had been with ASU's School of Electrical, Computer and Energy Engineering since 1983, where he was a Regents Professor of Electrical Engineering. His research interests are on electromagnetics, antennas, computational electromagnetics, checkerboard metasurfaces, and smart antennas.
Professor Balanis was recognized in 2023 by the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society as a Legend of Electromagnetics.
He received:

Prof. Balanis is a Life Fellow of the IEEE and editor for the Morgan & Claypool Publishers series on "Computational Electromagnetics" and on "Antennas and Propagation."
