Cindy Ballantyne is a retired Clincial Assistant Professor from Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College at ASU. She has 30+ years experience serving youth in Arizona and designing programs to meet their needs. She is certified as a cognitive coach, mindfulness ambassador, and as an advocate in Integrative Heath Modalities. Currently, Cindy serves as Career Services Manager for Arizona Friends of Foster Care Foundation (AFFCF) and Faculty Associate for the School of Social Work.
Her role at AFFCF is focused on preparing youth in the foster care system to enter the job market. She collaborates with educational and community partners to create unique and meaningful experiences in career readiness. Cindy has served on multiple initiatives and grants while holding a variety of leadership roles throughout her career. She is passionate about promoting a positive culture and community through supportive interactions. As a social emotional coach, she recognizes the value of bringing together businesses, educational institutions, and the community to instill a growth mindset for youth.
