Cynthia L. Coffman is a clinical assistant professor and an iTeachAZ site coordinator. She has worked as an instructor or clinical faculty member in the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College for more than 20 years and earned the Dean's Award for Faculty Excellence - Teaching in 2000.
As site coordinator for iTeachAZ since 2011, she ensures the successful delivery of high quality Teachers College coursework and ensures the alignment between coursework and effective teacher candidate practice in preK-12 settings. She supervises teacher candidates throughout their final two semesters and facilitates a strong and lasting impact on the PreK-12 student achievement. Additionally, she ensures the successful operation of the iTeachAZ site by maintaining a positive and productive relationship with district and school level personnel.
She has also held the position of director of professional development and director of STEM teaching and learning at the Arizona Science Center. She taught fifth grade in the Tempe Elementary District prior to joining Arizona State University in 1997.
