Deron Ash’s career has focused on public science education and technology development. He works at ASU’s School for the Future of Innovation in Society, a school and research institute examining the societal impacts of emerging technologies. As Assistant Director of Programs, Deron oversees the operations and financial administration of a number of sponsored projects focused on the public engagement of science, with particular involvement in the field of citizen science. He is a graduate of the school's MSTP Master's program in Science and Technology Policy. Deron’s career in informal science education has included work at the Arizona Science Center in a biotechnology education program, and 8 years as Director of Education at the Imagine Nation Museum (Bristol Connecticut), a successfully operating children’s museum he helped to found.
