Long Bio
I grew up in Greybull, WY and recieved my undergraduate degree from the University Wyoming. During my time at UW I had opportunitites to observe at WIRO and APO and work as a researcher on the National Solar Observatory's Citizen Continental America Telescopic Eclipse Experiment (Citizen CATE). At ASU I focus on Exploration Systems Design working with Dr. Paul Scowen on payload assemby, integration, and testing (AIT) for the Star-Planet Activity Research CubeSat (SPARCS) mission. I am looking to expand my knowledge and abilities in designing, building, and testing spacecraft and space-based instrumentation. In the future I hope to work on asteroid detection and defense.
Education
BA with Honors in Astronomy/Astrophysics and Physics from University of Wyoming
Research Interests
Design, construction, characterization, and implementation of intrumentation for astronomy and space exploration.
Research Group
Star-Planet Activity Research CubeSat (SPARCS) Mission
Research Activity
I am currently working with Dr. Paul Scowen on payload assemby, integration, and testing (AIT) for the Star-Planet Activity Research CubeSat (SPARCS) mission. My work focuses on the design, construction, and operation of a thermal vacuum test suite to characterize and test the SPARCS science payload.
