Karla Lee is an Associate Director on the Program Operations team within the W. P. Carey School of Business Graduate Programs Office. She recruits, trains, supervises, and develops professional program operations staff and student workers, while overseeing the graduate student life cycle process, collaborating with all stakeholders, and managing multiple program budgets. Karla also volunteers as Chair of the W. P. Carey Graduate Programs Office Staff Engagement Committee, directing multiple fun events for 50+ colleagues. Additionally, she has been a service representative for the ASU Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) since 2019, and she served on ASU's Staff Council from 2014 to 2019.
Karla is originally from California and she moved to Arizona in 2013 to work specifically at ASU after spending a couple years in Washington, D.C. Prior to joining the W. P. Carey School of Business, Karla managed education centers and competitive gymnastics facilities in Silicon Valley for over 10 years, where she trained and developed staff and helped students reach their goals. She holds a BA in Education, an MA in Psychology, and an MS in Organizational Leadership. Karla loves professional development and has completed ASU's LINAU supervisor program, CSW's mentee program, and ASU's Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certificate. She has also served as a CSW mentor and conference presenter. Karla enjoys sunshine, wearing flip-flops, being creative, and playing with her super energetic doggy!
